Civilised Sounds has been created by Birmingham musicians Tom Tierney, John Benbow and Andy Howell to create a relaxing musical session where an appreciative audience gets to hear some of are best local talent. We aim to feature a variety of musical styles and genres within the loose acoustic category — though electric instruments are welcome!
Our major Sunday session takes place late afternoon, giving people time do other things earlier in the day and to get home at a reasonable time if they are working the next day! we also finish early enough for you to stroll on to the Chaos Acoustic Club down the road if you want a whole day of music! We start at 4.000 pm and end about 7.30-ish (maybe a little later depending on open mic demand).
Civilised Sounds is based at the Station Pub in Kings Heath. We operate in a the frontier area, a very pleasant space, although on glorious summer days we move into the back garden of the pub.
The Station is a friendly local pub in Kings Heath. Food, including Sunday Lunch, is available and a good range of proper beer and wine are on offer.
